Taipei Trip

7/12/2006 : Reach Taipei at around 5+, by the time i left the airport is around 6+ then we took the airport bus to Taipei City which is around 1hr+. We reached the hotel at around 8pm then went around ximending to look for food. our first meal there, goose meat with beehoon soup.

8/12/2006: Wake up at 7am and left the hotel at around 8.30am. we went to the longshan temple to pray. shop around the area but bought nothing and had our breakfast at one of the famous soya bean drink shop. the you tiao was fantastic. after that we went to danshui for the fisherman's wharf. the scene was fantastic. the wind was blowing very strong. went to the famous miramar to shop and take the ferris wheel. shop around at carefour next to miramar and bought some fruits. the oranges were so sweet. by the time we reach shilin night market, the stores were just opening. didn't buy a thing there as the weather there were turning cold. the clothes were all thick and long sleeves. not suitable for singapore weather.

9/12/2006: went to the taipei main station area and zhongxiao area to shop. kinda nothing to shop as all the malls there are departmental stores. so selling all the same thing.

10/12/2006: went to CKS memorial hall and SYS memorial hall in the morning. saw the change of guards. quite cool. --" but the moves abit lame. =x went to taipei 101 for lunch. the food court was PACKED! as the world trade center next to it was having some computer fair. after that we had to pay 150NTD per person to go to the 89th floor of the 101. it was a cloudy day so cant really see alot of things. then we found out we must pay 100NTD more per person to go to the outdoor 1 which was on the 91 floor. we din went as its not worth paying more to see just clouds. after that we went to wufenpu. bought nothing there again as the clothes aren't suitable. went to raohe night market which was opp. of wufenpu. bought some stuffs there and some food.

11/12/2006: went to aunt's house till 1pm+ then went to pluck strawberries. the farm was like so high up in the hills. luckily the taxi driver is willing to wait. pluck some of the strawberries which cost 250NTD. the boss and lady boss very good even give discount + strawberry ice cream. nice people there. went to the carefour opp. of miramar and shop for some stuffs to bring back to s'pore. then went back to ximending area to have a last minute shopping.

12/12/2006: spend the whole day at airport.

Bought: 3 magazines, chewing gums, a cap, a shoe, some stuffs for my buddies, a jeans, 2 bracelet, 2 clothes for fifi.
